After what seems to have been quite a long time my work has finally paid off. In an effort to streamline my website, one of my project goals was to come up with a logo that fit with the design of the site and could be used for business cards and other such things. It took quite a while, but I’m quite pleased with this design. I’m not sure if it’s final yet, as I’m continuously refining the design and correcting minuscule errors. But I’m fairly confident that this logo will be considered complete soon. I was going for a sci-fi/tech theme and drew a lot of inspiration from several different sources. I studied my favorite Sci-Fi shows, star trek and Stargate, played through many scifi games, and visited NASA’s website. My final vision draws heavily on the design from Mass Effect. A great game, it utilizes the sci-fi genre and creates a wonderful combat rpg feel to it. I particularly enjoy the space cowboy feel that the game leans towards. This game takes hints from Trigun, Cowboy Bebop and other such shows that encapsulate this style of genre. The sequel to the first Mass Effect just got released recently, which definitely is a joy to play. It is the second installment of the planned trilogy.
