Orchestrated Text – Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons
I was reading Ars Technica and saw a posting that originally came from Wired UK. Utilizing HTML5 and Javascript, a programmer took the text based on the Deutsche Grammophon ‘La Gran Musica’ series of CD/Books and timed it to Vivaldi’s “The Four Seasons”.
Although the concept of reading text in order to invoke deeper feelings and emotions is not new, this project demonstrates a clever usage of HTML5 and Javascript to bring that experience to our web browsers.
I find the text useful perhaps to those who may not know as much about musical and the score that is being played. Perhaps a deeper appreciation of Vivaldi’s composing will be applied to those exploring the wonder of music.

Composing is programming.
